Book of the Day: Good Habits, Bad Habits

Title: Good Habits, Bad Habits

Author: Wendy Wood

From the book: “In daily life, it is just easier to act on habit than to make a decision based on our best intentions. Brainpower is overwhelmingly costly. The reality is that exerting control is inherently draining, making us feel tired, stressed and overwhelmed.”

Takeaway: Hands down, this is the best book on habits currently available. There are others that are more popular like Atomic Habits, The Power of Habit, Tiny Habits, but those offer nothing more than superficial advice and antidotes. Wood’s book delivers the goods. She offers science-based evidence and outlines a clear roadmap of how we can each create, grow, and sustain our good habits and suffocate our bad habits. If there ever is a must read on how to live a better life, this is it.
