Fortune Favors the Brave

“Success must be earned. No one can do the work for us. No one can travel the road for us. Or suffer the pains and disappointments for us. Or overcome our problems and difficulties for us.” | Percy Cerutty, Success in Sport & Life

Victory is taken, never given. Winners don’t wait for handouts. They don’t wait for opprtunity to knock at their door. They do not trust to hope. Instead of waiting for the perfect offer to arrive, the teacher to come to them, or the big event to be held in their hometown, the advancing person takes the leap, up-roots their life, hits the road, takes the risk — for better or worse — and seeks out opportunities. Making something from nothing.

The price of success. Before you can get what you want you must learn how to fight, to strive, and to suffer for it. You can get a lot out of this life, if you’re prepared to give up a lot to get it.

“Victory goes not to the strongest, but to those who make the best use of their strength.” | Anonymous, How to Succeed in Life and Sport
